A free textbook on linear algebra, the mathematical basis for 3D graphics: http://joshua.smcvt.edu/linearalgebra/ A free textbook on calculus, valuable background to games programming: http://www.math.wisc.edu/~keisler/calc.html (it was reviewed on Slashdot, along with other free calculus texts, here: http://books.slashdot.org/books/04/03/04/028253.shtml). The book I brought in was Windows System Programming, 3rd Edition (I have the Second Edition, called 'Win32 Sysetem Programming'). In terms of game programming, it's most interesting for writing game servers - whether it's an MMP game or just a client/server multiplayer game. The last thing I mentioned was HAM, which goes a long way to reducing the barrier to entry of console development - namely, the GameBoy Advance. http://www.ngine.de/index.jsp?pageid=3510 Hope that's interesting to someone :-) -- Matthew Weigel --------------------- To unsubscribe go to http://gameprogrammer.com/atxgpsiglist.html
