I'd think that the quality of your coding is more important than the kind of game you've made, be either bloody, AO or any other type - you made the gears turn and make the game work. Then again, I live in a country where game development is virtually null so I'm not able to tell you anything about if the/a game studio would take note of it, regardless of the type.
