The whole message - include the one that I sent to the leader looked like

Rob,

  I for one was very interested in this game project, however; I feel that
I am not prepared to take on such a commitment at this time. I don't think
that anyone realizes the depth that this project entails. This is a major
step into failure. People hear RPG and think "ohhh this should be simple",
but it's not. A clone alone is almost overwhelming to newcommers(myself
included). I do not feel comfortable with this project. I figured that I
would follow it for a while and see where we end up...and here we are. I
apologize for not making this known sooner. Count me out.
