May I make a suggestion?

You can set up an email list on topica.com. You can assign as many 
people as you wish as owners so that control can be passed to whoever is 
the current project leader. After setting up your list send out a 
pointer to it on this list (gameprogrammer) and everyone who is 
interested can subscribe to the new list. Then, every couple of weeks, 
you should post a progress update on gameprogrammer along with an 
invitation to join your project. That way we'll know what is going on 
and new people on the list will have the option of joining the project.
