I am _not_ going to W/me or W2000 if i can possibly help it. I still play
32-bit DOS games.

"Protects", yeah. "Hey, it's ur computer, but we've decided it would be
better for u if u keep /our/ software around." This is 'way Orwellian.

Grump of the day - u play a wav or mp3 file using Media Player, it ends.
Hours later u try to rename or delete or move the file... sorry, can't do
it. No clue why not. The real reason is, Media Player is still sitting
there in the background, still has the file open. What's wrong with this
scenario? Nothing in principle, it's just that the o/s can and should tell
u fully why u can't do what u want, e.g. delete a file, like so:

"This file cannot be deleted because it is open to [Media Player].
Click here [ ] to go to Media Player and close it".

That's how professionals write code - tell the user, not just that there's
a problem, but what exactly it is, and as far as possible, how to fix it.

"protects" files, gimme a break. Writing an o/s and then using it to
protect ur own s/ware is 'way too much power. I hope they break 'em up.
