Hmm, i'm not opposed in principle - i currently have 3.0, what do u have?
Umm, also i have a default Windows dark background (much less eye strain),
will it handle that ok? Half the problem i have with HTML in email is that
it changes the colors to illegibility, other half is the Reply loses text
when HTML is there.

I'm pretty much welded to something backwards-compatible to Eudora 3.0, by
about 20Mb of email archives... no combination of new features is worth
more to me than the ability to access my archives.

I've also become ...wary, of commercial s/ware lately - u DL something, and
it plays merry hob in ur 'puter, installing itself wherever it wants, then
timing out after 30 days or whatever - often without prior notice.

e.g. i DLed an alleged Shareware "CuteFTP", and it turns out it's a 30-day
"trialware" (which i wouldn't have bothered with) /and/ it's inserted
itself into some menu so that when i rightclick on an icon for the <Open |
Explore | find> menu, now it's a <Open | Explore | find | CuteFTP Upload>
menu. And i have no idea how to get it out, or what will happen when 30
days is up.

I demand a privacy policy from these bozos! This is /my/ computer. It is
not there to be used as a marketing tool or personal-data-base-feeder for
someone else. If they wanna run code on my chip, do it for my good alone,
otherwise its a virus. By that definition, half the commercial stuff out
there is a virus, including most cookie-droppers. Gees, use ur own dang
hard drive!

Oops, sorry - end rant.

Anyway, what ver of Eudora do u have, and does it read ur older .mbx files
etc.?
