advanced C++ books & c-robots

Hi, C++ man here.

First let me say thanks to all of you who helped me on the screens problem.
You get excited about doing what you really like to do(game programming) but
you are also faced with the reality that it takes time learning caffeine and
other stuff. I'm still too...premature, I guess, to go into playing with
screens or anything else right now, but I certainly appreciate all those
responses sent and I hope I may be able to put them in use sometime this
summer, or even better, spring. Oh and special thanks, Derold, on that text
mode way of clearing the screen. I think I may try it.
     Anyway, I'm really starting to go into my c++ book and the book
includes every function, keyword, operator, or whatever from the ANSI
standard library. It seems to teach the language well, or the ease could be
because of my previous java experience, and I think I can get some pretty
advanced information from it, but I'm also wondering what should be the next
book I get. I'm talking about a really advanced book that goes into the
deeper things of C++ and that would build off of the skills that I hope to
have at the end of reading this book. I'm not really looking for a compiler
specific one, just a general one. I'm sure I can look on the net somewhere
and find all the information I need about the specs of a certain compiler.
I hope you all can give me some good ideas on some advanced topic, general
books. Thanks
     Finally, as a contribution to this list, I noticed that many of you
liked the game c-robots. I personally have never really played it but I
found a copy of a game I thougt you all might like (unless, of course, you
already have it). It is called robotwar 3d and you can find it at, you
guessed it, robotwar3d.com. Just thought that some of you on this list
might like it so I let you know. I'm not sure, though, wether it's freeware
or shareware but you can check it out. Again, thanks for any and all
responses

                                      Peace and may God
                                       direct your life
                                        Amen, Jonathan Smith
