Hi! First the existence of this files (inside the c:\windows folder) indicates that u have the virus;
ie_pack.exe
mtc_.exe
win32.dll
wsock32.mtx

for mcafee, it recommends one to have the scan engine version 4.0.7 and a dat of 4.0.95.Once u have it, install it on a clean hard drive and make it as a master and the infected hdd as slave. The scan the latter. Dont forget to include the .dll,exe,pif extensions.
Or you can create a rescue disk from the clean hard disk and copy the dat files to another.

also be careful not to open those .pif email attachments, at first glance they seem to have, .txt or .jgp extensions, but when you take a better look, they end with .pif's. With this kind of files, i think its pretty evident that they want to mislead people and make them run these portable executables.
