RE: Unacceptable (New Mailing List Available)

Hi,

There is a new mailing list which has been just set up at
gameprogrammer@listbot.com all members must be authorised, (I am on the net
pretty constantly so members should be authorised within 24 hours and this
will cut down on spam as only members can post to the list).

Members can subscribe by going to the website at
http://www.webbsoft.org.uk/mailing_list.htm or via email.

You can also view an archive of all previous posts so if you missed an
email or accidentally deleted one you can go back and review past emails.

Tom.

Anyone can subscribe anyone to those mailinglists, I just hope that they
didn't also subscribe the reply-adress to the porn list, because if they
did, we'd be upto our necks in porn.

Someone is quite obviously trying to ruin this list, perhaps some frustrated
teenager who doesn't even know what programming is and is angered by the
fact that we do seem to know what we're talking about.

Or it's just another idiot who takes pride in destroying mailinglists, we
should encourage mr. Pendleton to filter the list or someone else should
take the initiative to move it to listbot or egroups

Just my 2 cents,
Gerco Dries.

has anyone read the headers of all these mails? Full of comments saying that
a user on the network has requested this email and that it isn't spam. Seems
like they have all the bases covered, or so they thought.
