DirectDraw8 doesnt exist, its alll now Direct3D8. If you still need to use 2d blit functions for 2d application that cannot use 3d billboard sprites then you are still able to create the Direct7 IDIRECTDRAW7 interface and use that. This gives you the DirectDrawSurface7 with blit etc. Adrian -----Original Message----- From: gameprogrammer-owner@gameprogrammer.com [mailto:gameprogrammer-owner@gameprogrammer.com]On Behalf Of wegifford Sent: 15 November 2000 16:30 To: gameprogrammer@gameprogrammer.com Subject: Direct X 8.0: Hmmmmm Hey everyone, I downloaded DX 8 and am pretty excited about it. It is very well documented but they are saying that they combined Direct Draw and Direct 3D but where is the method references or tutorials in the help files describing what they did with Direct Draw. Kinda confused. Do I still create LPDIRECTDRAW7 interfaces or do they have another <LPDIRECTDRAW8> hmmmm Need help!!!
