RE: Direct X 8.0: Hmmmmm



DirectDraw8 doesnt exist, its alll now Direct3D8.  If you still need to use
2d blit functions for 2d application that cannot use 3d billboard sprites
then you are still able to create the Direct7 IDIRECTDRAW7 interface and use
that.  This gives you the DirectDrawSurface7 with blit etc.

Hey everyone,

I downloaded DX 8 and am pretty excited about it.  It is very well
documented
but they are saying that they combined Direct Draw and Direct 3D but where
is
the method references or tutorials in the help files describing what they
did
with Direct Draw.  Kinda confused.  Do I still create LPDIRECTDRAW7
interfaces
or do they have another <LPDIRECTDRAW8> hmmmm Need help!!!
