Not to down your enthusiasm, but why does everyone who starts programming,
always try to jump right into the deep end.  Let me tell you, game
programming is difficult, and unless you understand your programming
language very well, I don't reccomend trying it just yet.I studied C++ for 5
years before I attempted a game (which is now).  So please, before you ask
about game programming, be extremely good with your programming language.
