It seems to me that the headers and libraries are all in this one (reasonably small) file (Hence the name "libhdr?"). Although it doesn't have any documantation, as far as I can tell (though I know that I wouldn't want to read 128MB of M$DX documentation anyway, hehe). Micro$oft's dowload page said something like, "this smaller file containing only the essentials, for those who want to use DirectX but can't download the whole thing," so I downloaded that one, and here's what I got: 34 .h files, dxsdk.inc, 2 .inl files, rmxftmpl.x, and 11 .lib files. I really don't know how the SDK works, but I'm quite certain that the huge file isn't necessary because I *know* that I don't have it, and, like I said, my DX programs work fine. ::shrug:: -[ Neil-Edelman -- dreaded.neil@phreaker.net -- ICQ UIN: 705130 -[ http://neil.freeshell.org/ -- http://moop.bizland.com/ -[ "My air-to-air missile overrides your air traffic control clearance" ================================================================= The GameProgrammer.Com mailing list is for the open discussion of any topic related to the art, science, and business of programming games.
