RE: MFC

MFC is erm.. NEVER used in games (well in my 10 years anyway). Its great
for tools, but way to slow for games. Use Direct X for games its much
faster and is basically a games API. Im not too keen on Andrew LaMothe's
books, From my point of view they simplify things too much. Games
programming is fun but most of the time it isnt simple,

Adrian

How common is MFC in Windows games? I just got the Andrew LaMothe Windows
Game Programmers book and he doesn't use MFC. I was suprised at this.
What is the opinion on this book? It looks like he is Windows shell
programming.
