 People are serious about this get prepared for a headache
thing.   I have always thought that was just an expression
untill i decided to learn game programming on my own.  That
kit may be helpfull but you'll also want to learn C++ from
another place, because the kit leaves out some vital
information.  Try cplus.about.com and www.gdse.com for alot
of tutorials and such, the first being just c++ programming,
the later being the game development search engine, a data
base of game creation information, with links to hundreds of
sites with tutorials on game programming.
