[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: time for directx
I know it's old, but I found the book "Spells of Fury" a great read, and a great introduction to Direct X. Good story-line of irrelevant anecdotes which I always enjoy in a programming reference. *chuckles* More recently, Andre Lamoth's book "Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Guru's" has a rather good explination on topic. The DDK for Direct X provides some ok samples. I still haven't found a good book for Direct3D, I am sure they are all over complicating it. Figured I'd wade through the SDK, right now I'm working on direct draw. So come on in and join the club. I haven't done any serious searching on the topic yet so this really isn't much help. have fun any-way Derold ----- Original Message ----- From: "MartinezJ" <MartinezJ@aurorabio.com> To: <gameprogrammer@gameprogrammer.com> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 9:26 AM Subject: time for directx > ok guys, > i have become comfortable using mfc and would like to jump into directx now. > any tips? > J > > ================================================================= > The GameProgrammer.Com mailing list is for the open discussion > of any topic related to the art, science, and business of > programming games.
