In the case of spammers and similar, it is an issue of them not really
caring or it being a moot point to their spiders/robots and mailing
program. What does it matter to them if people have to download more
mail? The people who DO buy into their spam or fall for it provides them
with all the justification they feel they need. IE, money or trouble.

There are those who read, those who don't, and those to whom reading or
not is irrelevant.
