Hi there!
I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, the only boot disk I have can be read thru "dir", but
upon further checking, fails to boot. Sorry, it's that OLD and
unused.

A directory of my dos 6.22 boot disk reveals the following:

dos622 <DIR> 01-24-1998 8:53a DOS622
dm5 <DIR> 01-17-1998 5:06p DM5
anti-vir dat 1,600 01-23-1998 6:43p ANTI-VIR.DAT
config sys 86 01-19-1998 2:08p CONFIG.SYS
command com 54,645 05-31-1994 6:22a COMMAND.COM
*drvspace bin 66,294 05-31-1994 6:22a DRVSPACE.BIN
emm386 exe 120,926 05-31-1994 6:22a EMM386.EXE
fdisk exe 29,336 05-31-1994 6:22a FDISK.EXE
himem sys 29,136 05-31-1994 6:22a HIMEM.SYS
*io sys 40,774 05-31-1994 6:22a IO.SYS
*msdos sys 38,138 05-31-1994 6:22a MSDOS.SYS
         9 file(s) 380,935 bytes

Note that this is a 1.44 floppy, so only the root files will interest
us. The files with an asterisk (*) are either system or hidden from a
normal dir command. When one makes a bootdisk from any other dos 6.22
system, the files loaded by a sys or a format /s command are:
io.sys, msdos.sys, drvspace.bin and command.com
The file "drvspace.bin" can be deleted, unless the system you boot up
with the floppy uses disk compression. These three, plus himem.sys
and emm386.exe make up a viable system that can fit on your 360k 5
1/4" floppy.
Everything else is optional.
