Hi All As a little off subject, has anyone had any thoughts about 64 bit and what differences it will make to there current projects, remember NEW hardware and software. Intel says there 64 bit chip will be released mid next year. I am currently rebuilding my computer and as I'm about to start buying equipment all SCSI (true power), I though I might as well buy equipment ready for 64 bit, but the only think so far I seen which seems to be geared for the 64 bit market is a SCSI card controller by Adaptec. So, if there's any Hardware Guru's or companies looking in at this list that may want any hardware validated, (used to the max) I will happily welcome any test units. (thats done) Regarding the discussions on C vs C++, which language will be more efficient after the migration to 64bit. I know by just simply overloading in C++, you may get the job done quickly, but would you still have the same efficient running code as it is possible to work the new faster processor two times as hard taking care of unefficient code. There are many other situations which will need to be reviewed. Can we start thinking about migrating. Another thing, Why do games machines get the new technology first.
