OK, since we have gotten WOT (Way Off Topic) I'll byte, what is "Sawfish"
and "helix-gnome"?

Just had to throw in my vigorous agreement here:

X is far more flexible than the M$ GUI solution - that's cuz X is really 
just a linux app (OK, i'm oversimplifying, but it basically is), whereas the

M$ GUI is part of their macrokernel.

I would also like to point out that if you think windows is good looking, 
you should see Sawfish running over helix-gnome.  Now there's a good looking

GUI.

The only complaint I could possibly have is that X windows sometimes fails 
to be as responsive as the M$ GUI (from the user point of view).  That's a 
side effect of the fact that it's (basically) an application, and runs 
inside a normal linux process/thread-space. (although 99% of the time you 
wouldn't notice.)
