If you think C++ is complex, try learning Forth or Cobol! After having experience in C, C++, Basic and Assembler, it took me months to figure out Forth, and I still haven't gotten the grips on Cobol! The reason is simple: The syntax is totally different, for example, if you know Basic, it would be easier for you to learn Fortran than C, but if you know C, it would be easier to learn C++ or Eiffel than a totally different language like Forth. C++ isn't that hard, really it isn't, it took me less than a week to learn the basics (after knowing QuickBasic as well). So I've been in the same position as you (except for the brother, my brother can't even program, so I have to laugh at him :-) ). - Lionel On Wed, 26 Jul 2000 buyer1342@saladlove.com wrote: > On Tue, 25 Jul 2000 HusTheBadMan@aol.com wrote: > > > I am a very keen 13 yr old wannabe programmer who needs c++ tutorials really > [snipped] > > The only books I find talk to me as if I'm a rocket scientist.
