Hello, If you are looking for a place to start to learn programming, that is
centered around game programming, you might want to take a look at

www.GameTutorials.com

It starts from the beginning, and is taught in a way anyone can understand.
Once you get the general idea on how to program, then you can move up to the
windows tutorials, eventually learning how to load a bitmap on the screen,
and from there, it's what your imagination can muster...

I actually program with SCUMM, which is the programming language that made
Monkey Island, and Maniac Mansion, etc.. Basically, Lucas Arts games.  If
you need some questions answered on how to set up something like that, just
let me know and I would be happy to help you and answer any questions that
might come up.
