Little Joke

This has nothing to do with game programming, but you Windows guys will get
this. I got this advertisement in e-mail:

Thank you for registering your software! Now you can bring your keyboard's
PRNT SCRN back to life with Screen Shot Deluxe(TM) 2.0! Order before July 5
and you'll SAVE $10 off the regular price, get a FREE GIFT & get FREE
shipping and handling! Special offer for registered software customers of The
Learning Company, now a division of Mattel Interactive. Use PRIORITY CODE
0160580034.

Considering the PRNT SCRN key already does a screen shot in all Windows
applications, this program is quite worthless. For you non-Windows maniacs,
pressing PRNT SCRN (with or without this lousy program) stores a copy of the
screen's image into the clipboard, where you can import into anywhere. So not
only does this advertisement advertise a program that installs a function
into Windows that already exists, they're CHARGING you for it. And I bet you
people actually fall for this. What kind of a world do we live in??

So it has nothing to do with game programming. However, they made this
advertisement thinking people would fall for it. People probably will. And
what did they tell us in those business classes from so many years ago? "Know
your consumer." There's a good chance gameplayers people will also get this
e-mail. So the same consumer plays games as responds to this e-mail. If your
consumer is THIS stupid, what's the point???

Fun Fact.
