I'll tell you what. You and I are probably at the same stage in the java 
learning stage so we could help each other in the future and as we go along. 
As for now, a place called JARS is on the web at JARS.com. It is called the 
java applet review source, but applets aren't the only thing they carry. 
They have a game section, which is predominantly applets, and a lot of the 
source code there is free. Maybe you could check it out. I don't know all 
the stuff it has but it is pretty packed.
