i want to make a Ultima Online like Game for about 10 people at a time ... help me please

do any of you have any hints for me 
i want to use a computer with a cable modem connection as server
it doesn't have to be complex were grafics are concerned
i am sick of those MUD games nice concept but no graphics

i want to use Delphi for this
i also know pascal but that sucks ass
