I strongly believe that you don't need classes to learn, all you need is a couple good books, a decent compiler, and some time. Then just sit down and program, and you'll run into problems, then find the answers, then go back to programming. To learn to write good games, write a simple game, then write a more complex game. Then, think of a really great game subject, sit through for a long time designing it, then code it up. The designing is the part that makes the game good or bad, not necessarily the coding part. I'm not an experienced game programmer or anything, but I have gotten to the point where I'm coding up my first big project, and so I feel I know what I'm talking about. :-) ...good luck... --Robert Whitlock http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/9520/ ICQ 60123256 ================================================================= The GameProgrammer.Com mailing list is for the open discussion of any topic related to the art, science, and business of programming games.
