Dont get me I think they are both fun. Most of the fun is in the game design, rather than the perspective. There is also somewhat of a definition issue. You can have a game use 3d hardware accelerate an essentially 2d game. Dungeon Keeper falls in this category a bit. > wrong, there are some good 3D games out there, but in most cases, it ruins > the game play. I think most 2D games were the best. Duke Nukem will also probably be fun (but then it is more of an 3d arcade game). Might and Magic was fun and 3d. Eye of the beholder, Bard's Tale, Dungeon Master were all 3d and were great games. > practical unless its an easy to play world. Being in the world is much more of a mental state than a display state for me. I have been in worlds that were: text (books/muds), ASCII (a simple space trading BBS game), 2d (StarFlight numerous others), 3d (Wolf, Doom, Quake I, System Shock). -- Marc Hernandez ================================================================= The GameProgrammer.Com mailing list is for the open discussion of any topic related to the art, science, and business of programming games.
