[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Image cache in video mem
Hi!
I have a large surface with lots of tiles on it for my isometric
tile based game, which there's no way it can fit in video memory. So
I'm thinking there might be some real benefits to create a cache for
the currently drawn tiles in video memory.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has tried this before? And if this is
worth doing? I'm targeting video cards with at least 8MB of RAM. The
cache size would be only about 10% of the total loaded tiles.
Thanks,
Chiyen
