[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: Y2K
Sure, that is true now (starting at zero), but when the modern Gregorian calendar was made, there was no zero available. The concept of zero came later, from the Arabs. There was never a Year 0. Therefore, our current calenday (Gregorian) started with year 1 and continues from there. Y2K is the last year of this century/millenium. -----Original Message----- From: gameprogrammer-owner@gameprogrammer.com [mailto:gameprogrammer-owner@gameprogrammer.com]On Behalf Of Chris Kaiser Sent: Monday, January 03, 2000 12:28 PM To: gameprogrammer@gameprogrammer.com Subject: RE: Y2K --> I disagree. --> --> The 20th century was from 1900-1999 just like the first --> century was from --> 0-99, the second from 100-199. They calculated what the first year would be guessing Jesus' birthday. This might be a moot point. --> --> __________________________________________________ --> Do You Yahoo!? --> Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
