I'm along the same lines as Fernando. 5 years exp w/ C/C++ client/server multi-threaded and win32 gui exp being the main skills. But, I'm willing to jump in! Chris Kaiser Product Developer Peregrine Systems Inc. mailto:ckaiser@peregrine.com Ph: (858)720-5268 http://www.peregrine.com --> -----Original Message----- --> From: Fernando Salas [mailto:fsalas@fibertel.com.ar] --> Sent: Sunday, December 26, 1999 6:42 AM --> To: gameprogrammer@gameprogrammer.com --> Subject: Re: I have a great idea..................... --> --> --> Hi, well let introduce myself, I'm a programmer, 29 y. old, I have --> about 6 years of experience working for companies, but not --> game ones. So --> , in short I have project and programming experience in --> other fields but --> not in games. That's mean that I can(if u wish) help with the --> coordination as I've already done that for other --> programming projects --> for those companies, but I couldn't do it alone as it can --> be too much --> work sometimes for one person. --> I like the idea, lots sort of thing must be discussed and --> agreed before --> we can even start something, but can be done as other that have made --> other projects like this. The advise of someone that had --> run a project --> on the web would be apreciated and could be necessary. --> I have my PC on-line through Cable-modem (almost) 24 hs of --> the day 365 --> days a year, so I can setup something for an archive, etc --> with the help --> of people that knows well how to do it. We can also use --> another resource --> instead, it's just an offering. --> I'don't know much about unix or unix ports. (not much more --> than a ls or --> something like that;)) but I want to learn, so if we go --> with this and --> want to use downloaded utilities(probably unix ports), then --> I'm glad on --> that if someone with knoledge guide us. --> Right now I'm limited on the OS most of my time as I need --> Windows OSs --> for my work, I want to learn linux though, but if we use my PC as an --> archive then most of the time it will be on windows. --> Well, I think is enough for now, I want to know how many --> people would --> like to participate, and if we have the different skills we need. At --> least I can cover part of the project coordination skills and C++/C --> programming skills(by no means I'm a guru). I'm also good --> at learning --> and guiding to learn. Time is another matter, I will be --> part time only --> in this, as I must run my work and a family(That's why I can't --> coordinate all myself) --> So, lets see how many people want to be in and which skills we have, --> then we can ask help or guide from what we want to others --> that runs this --> sort of thing --> --> HDCooL wrote: --> --> > Hello all of you, I've been following this mailinglist --> for a long time --> > now so I would learn somethingabout gameprogramming.
