Win 98 acting like dos

Could someone tell me how to make a win 98 program that uses the full screen 
like a dos program? I'm a little new with windows programming and I use 
Visual C++ 5.
It dosen't have any documentation though because I couldn't afford it, so 
I'm having trouble figuring out how to use it. Any help would be greeted 
with thanks.
