Just in case anyone's interested, there's a couple of books which might not ordinarily be encountered in the computer science domain, but which are nevertheless worth reading, especially if you find the theory behind AI and AL interesting. The books I'm referring to are: The Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence The Philosophy of Artificial Life Both books are published by Oxford University Press and edited by Margaret Boden.
